Montgomery County Criminal Defense Lawyer
When people in southeastern Pennsylvania, in communities in Montgomery County and Bucks County face criminal charges, they look for a criminal defense lawyer with extensive trial experience and knowledge of the local courts. They come to the law office of Theodore Swan.
I am criminal defense lawyer Theodore Swan. I've been working in criminal courts in this community for more than 35 years, first as an assistant district attorney, and since 1977 as a criminal defense lawyer. Those years of experience, my understanding of how the prosecution handles a case, and my ability to analyze and develop a defense around the strengths and weaknesses of a case gives my clients confidence that they are getting the strongest defense.
Contact my Abingdon law office today. Put 35 years of legal know-how in your corner. I represent adults and juveniles against a wide range of criminal charges.

Drug Offenses: Possession, possession with intent to deliver, drug manufacturing, drug sale and trafficking charges
While these three are among the most common criminal charges, I also defend people charged with:

- Juvenile Crimes: underage drinking, arson, damage to property, criminal mischief, car theft, fighting

Is This Your First Offense? You May be Eligible for a Second Chance.
If you are a first time offender, you may qualify for Pennsylvania's Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program (probation without verdict). ARD is available to people who have committed certain non-violent crimes (particularly DUI or retail theft).
If you are accepted by the local District Attorney, you will be placed on probation. If you satisfactorily complete probation (including fines or community service if that is required) and you do not get arrested again, in the ARD program the charges are dismissed automatically or can be dismissed with a petition.
Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition is only available once in a lifetime and only for people facing certain criminal charges. It gives you a second chance to get it right. As your criminal defense lawyer, I'll review this and other options with you.
When the Stakes are High, Experience DOES Matter.
