Man charged with drug-related death

A Pennsylvania man will face criminal charges including manslaughter in connection with the apparent overdose death of another man. The incident occurred this past July when police were dispatched to a hotel wherein emergency personnel were attempting to revive an unconscious man lying in the hotel bed. The emergency personnel believed that the man was experiencing a drug overdose.

Drug trafficking charges target Pennsylvania business owner

In 2012, a man who owns pharmacies in Palmer Township and Hellertown became the subject of a federally led operation that sought to target online drug sales. On Oct. 16, the man entered a guilty plea to the charge of providing prescription drugs to patients who lacked valid prescriptions. One of the pharmacist's businesses was raided by a federal task force in November 2012, and the man and nine of his associates were subsequently indicted on seven separate charges.

Montgomery County man facing assault charges

A 39-year-old Montgomery County man has been behind bars since Sept. 12 after being arrested for domestic assault. He is accused of punching his girlfriend and knocking her unconscious. A judge reviewed the case on Oct. 8 in Lansdale District Court and ordered the man to stand trial on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.

Pennsylvania man makes fraudulent purchases at T-Mobile stores

A 23-year-old man allegedly made fraudulent purchases at several T-Mobile stores in Pennsylvania and New Jersey using a closed credit card account recently. His purchases for iPhones and accessories totaled more than $16,000. Consequently, he was charged with numerous counts of access device fraud and theft.

Meth lab search results in two arrests

Pennsylvania officials discovered what they believed to be a meth lab after an early morning search of a Bethlehem Township address. Police searched the property and a close-by storage shed during the search of the address. Authorities found a 31-year-old man living in the shed; the man was taken into custody after police reportedly found various drugs and drug paraphernalia in the shed. Police also claim to have obtained a confession from the 31-year-old after finding the drug-related items.
