Stopping for a school bus with flashing lights at an intersection

Most people know that you cannot pass a school bus, either from behind or from the front, when the red lights are flashing and the "stop" arm is extended.  What many people don't know is when you approach an intersection and a school bus is stopped on the far side or on the right or left of the intersection, red lights flashing, you can't not proceed.... even if you are turning away from the bus and not passing it until the flashing red ligts are no longer actuated. A conviction means 5 points and a 60 day suspension.

Former Pa. trooper charged with DUI, homicide

A Coatesville, Pennsylvania, man was arrested under an affidavit of probable cause in connection with a fatal accident on the Turnpike that occurred the evening of May 18. The 40-year-old former Pennsylvania state trooper was arrested Monday and charged with driving under the influence and homicide. He was also charged with careless and reckless driving.

Damascus wife stabs husband in back

Last week, a 54-year-old woman was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police. She is currently being held without bond after being accused of attempting to kill her estranged husband. She was charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault and taken to the Wayne County Correctional Center.

Modern day Bonnie and Clyde face 58 charges in Montgomery Co.

An Upper Gwynedd man and Hatfield Borough woman were arrested and charged with 58 different counts of burglary, trespassing, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. The two appeared in court yesterday in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
