Alleged street robbery in Plymouth Township leads to 3 arrests

An alleged assault and robbery in Plymouth Township, Pennsylvania, has led to the arrest of three men. Police said the alleged victim told them that two of the men approached him in a convenience store to talk to him. When he left the store to walk home, he said, the two men reappeared and punched him in the face. According to reports, the men took two necklaces, a watch and an iPod from the man. The man said they then fled on foot toward a vehicle and drove away.

The three men now face a litany of charges including robbery, receiving stolen property and recklessly endangering another person. Each of them was arrested separately over the weekend and were being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing regarding the men's case was slated for next week.

It was not clear from the reports about the case how the police were able to identify the men because the person who made the complaint to police said he did not know them. It was also not immediately evident if there any witnesses to the alleged theft aside from the man who called police.

The number of charges against the men makes it especially important that they are represented by an experienced attorney in court. One of the charges filed against each man is conspiracy, meaning the government will have to prove that the men were planning crimes -- perhaps involving the alleged stolen items. An experienced defense attorney can work to address these charges.
