81-year-old accused of DUI after head-on collision

Pennsylvania troopers released information recently regarding a March 13 accident that involved an 81-year-old man who was allegedly so intoxicated that he rammed into a vehicle head-on despite the other driver veering onto a berm in an attempt to stop the accident. No information was available regarding a lawyer for the man accused of DUI, who is from Indiana, Pennsylvania, a town northeast of Pittsburgh. The victim, a 52-year-old man from Homer City, was hurt in the wreck, but no additional details are available on his medical condition. No further information is known regarding any possible charges the driver may face.

27-year-old Pennsylvania man charged with theft from minivan

A 27-year-old man from Leetsdale was recently arrested for conspiring to break into a minivan that was impounded at an auto lot. The suspect is accused of theft crimes, criminal mischief, defiant trespass and four additional, related offenses. A co-defendant faces charges in the same incident. Law enforcement personnel said that he confessed to aiding a companion on Feb. 8 by acting as a lookout while his accomplice broke into the vehicle and took cash and drugs that were inside. He watched while the co-defendant broke the rear window, crawled inside and took two packages of heroin. In return for his help, the suspect was given $100 and a brick of heroin.

Man arrested for alleged domestic violence attack

Police arrested a 32-year-old man in Phoenixville for domestic violence when he was accused of biting her after a celebration on Feb. 24. The suspect faces charges of harassment, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Court information indicates that someone called in a report of a domestic dispute. When the police responded, the officer observed a woman trying to get out of a vehicle as a man held on to her to thwart her efforts. He reportedly asked the man to step away from her, but he did not comply and was subsequently taken into custody.

Clearfield female arrested for selling drugs

After law enforcement personnel investigated drug activity and an undercover cop allegedly completed two drug purchases at her residence, a Clearfield woman was recently arrested. The Clearfield County District Attorney reported that the 32-year-old female faces drug charges, including sales of a controlled substance. In two separate transactions, an undercover officer reportedly paid $100 for cocaine and ecstasy from the suspect at her home on Feb. 19 and Feb. 21, respectively. More purchases were scheduled from her through texts messages on her cell phone.
