Pennsylvania prison employee charged with felony drug possession

A 27-year-old prison employee arriving to work his shift on Nov. 10 was arrested and charged with three felony drug charges: possession with intent to deliver, possession of contraband and possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Prison officials declined to divulge the man's position at the prison. No bail has yet been set.

Pennsylvania mobile home involved in October drug raid burns down

A fire in Earl Township that began around 3 a.m. on Nov. 3 destroyed a mobile home that was targeted in a drug raid in October following a six-month investigation. As firefighters were arriving on the scene, the motor home caved in as a result of the fire, according to the Fire Chief of Earl Township. He further stated that additional fire companies from New Berlinville, Oley, Amity and Boyertown responded to the blaze and assisted in fighting it for several hours. The state police fire marshal is still investigating the fire.

Man charged with drug-related death

A Pennsylvania man will face criminal charges including manslaughter in connection with the apparent overdose death of another man. The incident occurred this past July when police were dispatched to a hotel wherein emergency personnel were attempting to revive an unconscious man lying in the hotel bed. The emergency personnel believed that the man was experiencing a drug overdose.

Two Pennsylvania men waive drug charges to court

Two men have waived their charges to court after having been suspected of smuggling heroin into Western Pennsylvania. Both men are part of a group of 13 people who were indicted by a grand jury for their supposed involvement in an operation that transported the drug from Southern California and Mexico. One of the men faces several drug charges, including possession with the intent to deliver heroin and Methylone. The other, who had been on federal supervision for a drug trafficking conviction, faces similar charges.

Heroin trafficking ring busted in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania residents may be interested to hear that 13 people were charged in connection with a heroin trafficking drug ring that allegedly operated within Pittsburgh and Beaver County and reportedly had ties to a California street gang. According to the attorney general, the charges are the result of an investigation that lasted a year and focused on the alleged heroin trafficking of the individuals.

Police arrest 17 in Operation Shape Up

A drug investigation that began in November, 2012 has culminated in the arrest of 17 people in Pennsylvania. The men and women were each given a bond of either $1 million or $500,000. The alleged leader of the operation faces multiple drug charges, including criminal use of a communication facility, criminal conspiracy to deliver marijuana and cocaine, two counts of corrupt organizations, two counts of delivery of marijuana and cocaine and two counts of possession with the intent to deliver marijuana and cocaine.

Macungie man suspected of dealing heroin

An alleged drug dealer is facing multiple charges according to local police. The 26-year-old Macungie man was allegedly distributing heroin, and police further stated that he was found to be in possession of steroids, cocaine and miscellaneous prescription medications. The Macungie man is facing these drug charges after being allegedly caught selling the drugs with the use of confidential informants.

Mother with meth lab charged

On a daily basis, individuals are arrested on drug crime related charges. Recently, a mother of three younger children was arrested on drug charges after she was allegedly found in a meth lab trailer with her children. According to officers, the woman was a 24-year-old from Mount Carmel.

3 subjects faces charges of marijuana trafficking

Three men, ages 55, 32 and 40, face criminal charges related to a number of drug crimes for their alleged involvement in a drug ring that involved trafficking marijuana in Montgomery County and surrounding regions. The accused men are in custody in Montgomery County prison unless two of them can pay $4 million and the third can pay $2 million in bail. Court documents indicated that the first man allegedly had acted as the marijuana supplier for the second man, who then sold hundreds of pounds of the drug throughout several Pennsylvania counties starting in Nov. 2012. Indications were that some people who were involved in the drug ring remained unidentified.
